Abstract
Changes of cerebral blood flow are assumed to play a key role in perinatal brain insult Disturbances in the cerebral circulation during or after birth are thought to be a major cause of cerebral hemorrhage and ischemic hypoxic encephalopathy in the newborn infant For that reason neonatologists have been interested in evaluating the cerebral perfusion of their patients Transcranial Doppler ultrasound technique which is noninvasive and can be repeated at bedside has provoked considerable interest Key words: Doppler Ultrasound Cerebral Blood Flow Velocity Newborn
