Abstract

Here we report a case of follicular carcinoma of thyroid was diagnosis after chest wall resection.The case is regarded as a follicular carcinoma of thyroid according to histopathologic and immunohistochemical findings. The case is presented and the relevant literature is reviewed and discussed.

Özet

Özet: Tiroidin folliküler karsinomu (FTK), oldukça nadir görülen bir malignitedir. Tiroid karsinomları içerisinde %10-15 oranında görüldüğü bildirilmiştir. Uzak metastazını sıklıkla akciğere ve kemiklere yapar. Bu yazıda, 65 yaşındaki erkek hastanın sternumun 2 cm inferiorundaki kitleden yapılan ince iğne biyopsisi küçük mavi hücreli malign tümör tanısı aldıktan sonra yapılan eksizyonel biyopsisi histopatolojik ve immünohistokimyasal bulgularla folliküler karsinom metastazı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Olgu sunulmuş ve literatür gözden geçirilerek tartışılmıştır.
