Myositis ossificans birçok yönleri ile günümüzde henüz tam aydınlığa kavuşamamış bir lezyondur. Birçok olguda yapınma vermez ve sağıtımı gerektirmez. Bazan da kırıkları iyileştirici veya iyileşmeyi kolaylaştırıcı rol oynar.
