26 patients with humeral shaft fracture were treated by open reduction and AO plating technique in the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Clinic of Haseki Hospital between 1983-1993. Sağlık Bakanlığı Haseki Hastanesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Kliniği'nde Ekim 1983-Haziran 1993 tarihleri arasında humerus cisim kırığı olan 26 olguya açık redüksiyon ve AO plağı ile osteosentez uygulandı. Takibi yapılabilen 18 olgunun sonuçları değerlendirildi. Humerus cisim kırıklarının tedavisinde açık redüksiyon ve AO plağı ile osteosentezin uygun endikasyonlar ve seçilmiş hasta gruplarında konservatif tedaviye alternatif olabiIeceği sonucuna varıldı.
