Elin beşinci parmağının, distal falanksının volere ve radiale doğru açılanması ile karakterize deformiteyi ilk olarak 1927 yılında Kirner tanımlamıştır. Şimdiye kadar tanımlanan toplam 40 kadar olgunun (1, 3, 5, 6), sadece 1 tanesi yerli literatüre aittir (1). Tedavi ettiğimiz bu nadir görülen deformiteyi, cerrahi korreksiyonu yapılmış uluslararası literatürde ikinci olgu olması nedenı ile bildirmeyi uygun gördük.
