Abstract

Consider a sector where no research has been done on human resources, which is one of the essential components of this sector, and it is difficult to find important information about the employees in this sector, both on the Internet and in academic studies. If a sector has just emerged, this may be considered normal, but if these studies are not carried out in an industry that has existed for decades, this situation should be questioned. For example, a significant part of the studies related to the health sector covers the studies on doctors and nurses. Ignoring nurses either or doctors in the health sector means not taking into account the components of the industry, and the results will be misleading and at times even devastating for the industry. Likewise, regularly and systematically, the sports training specialist, who take part in the public side of Turkish sports are the second largest occupational group after the coaches in terms of current number; it is almost impossible to find tangible information on subjects such as job descriptions, experiences, professional development, problems they have experienced, contributions to the sports industry, or losses. Today, even sports training specialists were asked themselves, if they would have difficulty in defining their profession, and there would be significant differences from person to person. This neglect of the profession of sports training specialist, not revealing its essential features and importance for institutions, is costing Turkish Sports a lot. Today, Sports Education Specialist constitutes a significant part of the sports-related service in the province where they are located. Therefore, blaming only them will not be the solution in the current situation. Because we are talking about an almost imaginary profession, although its recognition has increased over time, sports training specialists, who are treated as if they do not exist or like other ordinary civil servants are considered the subject of this study.
