Abstract
Visual Arts education is a requirement for individuals of all age groups at every level since they provide advantages and positive benefits for the individuals in their personal lives such as self-expression and aesthetic awareness. The Visual Arts Course Curriculum is divided into three learning areas according to basic learning areas. Visual Communication and Forming Artistic, Criticism and Aesthetics, Cultural Heritage in this research, 40 teachers who have been teaching the visual arts in 2018-2019 learning period in Konya were asked about what kind of difficulties they faced and what they did through the application of “Heritage Educating” in the middle school levels. As a result of the research, the opinions of the visual arts teachers about the cultural heritage elements, the relationship between visual arts and cultural heritage education, whether or not there is enough education in the cultural arts education in the visual arts course, what methods and techniques can be used when giving cultural heritage education has been revealed. It is thought that these results will contribute to the visual arts teachers, teacher candidates, program developers and the people or organizations doing research about art education.

Görsel Sanatlar eğitimi, bireyin kendini ifade edebilme, estetik bilinç kazanma gibi kişisel yaşantısına katacağı olumlu edinimler ve toplumlar açısından avantajlar sağladığından her düzeydeki yaş grubundan bireyler için bir gereksinimdir. Görsel Sanatlar Dersi Öğretim Programı temel öğrenme alanlarına göre üç öğrenme alanına ayrılmıştır: Görsel İletişim ve Biçimlendirme, Sanat Eleştirisi ve Estetik, Kültürel Miras’tır. Araştırmada, 2018–2019 eğitim öğretim yılında Konya ilinde görsel sanatlar dersi eğitimi veren 40 öğretmene, “Kültürel Miras” öğrenme alanının uygulanmasına yönelik ortaokullarda uygulamada neler yaptıkları ve ne tür zorluklarla karşılaştıklarına yönelik sorular yöneltilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda görsel sanatlar öğretmenlerinin kültürel miras öğeleri konusundaki görüşleri, görsel sanatlar dersi ile kültürel miras eğitiminin ilişkisinin ne olduğu, görsel sanatlar dersinde kültürel miras eğitimine yeterince yer verilip verilmediği, kültürel miras eğitimi verilirken hangi yöntem ve teknikleri kullanılabileceği ve kültürel miras eğitimi verilirken karşılaşılan sorunların neler olduğu ile ilgili görüşleri ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Çalışmanın görsel sanatlar öğretmenlerine, öğretmen adaylarına, program geliştiricilere, sanat eğitim ile ilgili araştırma yapan kişi ya da kuruluşlara katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.
