Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the trend of research in the field of e-health. In the study, studies on e-health published between 05-12-1999 and 05-12-2022 in the Web of Science database were examined. 2854 “e-health” (e-health) studies in the database were evaluated with bibliometric analysis. As a result of the analysis, the most in the "Health Sciences" category, the least in the "Computer and Artificial Intelligence" category; at most in “2021”, at least in “2011”; at most “Research Papers”, at least “Review” type; studies are financed mostly by the “European Commission” and at least by the “Netherlands Organization For Health Research And Development” funding agency; most studies were conducted in the “United States” and the least in “Spain”; It was concluded that the most cited study was “What is e-health?” and the least cited study was “External validation of clinical prediction models using big datasets from e-health records or IPD meta-analysis: opportunities and challenges”. The findings serve as a guide for future research in the field of e-health.
