Abstract
Presupposition is one of the concepts of modern linguistics and is especially in the field of pragmatics. Presupposition is defined as implicit and definite information shared between the speaker or the author and the addressee or reader about something that exists. During communication, the speaker organizes his discourse using the presupposition, while the listener interprets the discourse using the presupposition. There are presupposition triggers that pave the way for the formation of presupposition between communication parties. The aim of this research is to investigate the manifestations of the function and triggers of presupposition, which is one of the modern linguistic concepts, in the context of muqtada al-hal in classical Arabic language sources. In this study, discourse analyses made in classical Arabic sciences sources will be examined in order to reflect the meaning of presupposition. Starting from the first period of Arabic language studies, the way this subject takes place in discourse and meaning determination will be emphasized as a requirement of the context . Önvarsayım, modern dilbilim kavramlarından olup özellikle edimbilimin ilgi alanına girmektedir. Önvarsayım, varlık sahasında olan bir şey hakkında konuşmacı veya yazar ile muhatap veya okur arasında paylaşılan örtük ve kesin bilgi olarak tanımlanmaktadır. İletişim esnasında konuşmacı, önvarsayımı hesaba katarak söylemini düzenler, dinleyici ise önvarsayımı dikkate alarak o söylemi yorumlar. Bu bağlamda iletişim tarafları arasında önvarsayımın oluşmasına zemin hazırlayan önvarsayım tetikleyicileri vardır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, modern dilbilim kavramlarından olan önvarsayımın işlevi ve tetikleyicilerinin klasik Arap dili kaynaklarında muktezây-ı hâl bağlamında tezahürlerini tetkik etmektir. Çalışmada önvarsayımın anlamını yansıtması açısından klasik Arap dilbilim kaynaklarında yapılan söylem analizleri incelenecektir. Ayrıca ilk dönem Arap dil çalışmalarından başlamak üzere bağlamın gereği olarak söylem telifinde ve anlam tespitinde bu konunun ele alınış biçimi üzerinde durulacaktır. Çalışma neticesinde erken dönem Arap dili kaynaklarında yapılan söylem analizlerinde muktezây-ı hâlin önvarsayıma bağlı anlamları haiz olduğu tespit edilmiş ve dolayısıyla erken dönem Arap dil çalışmalarında önvarsayımın işlevinin farkında olunduğu anlaşılmıştır.
