Marmara Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakültesi öğretim üyelerinden Prof. Dr. Nurullah Altaş’ın 2022 yılında ilk baskısını çıkarmış olduğu “Din Eğitimi” kitabı bu alanda yazılmış geniş çaplı eserlerden biridir. Bilindiği üzere din eğitimine dair ilk çalışma Eğitim Bilimi ve Din Eğitimi ismiyle Beyza Bilgin’e aittir. Nurullah Altaş, Beyza Bilgin’in bir talebesi olarak kitabın ön sözünde hocasının ismini zikretmekten geri durmamış, aynı zamanda bu alanda ün yapmış çeşitli isimlerden de bahsetmiştir. Nurullah Altaş bu çalışmasında ile din eğitimine dair yapılan birçok çalışmanın lisans seviyesinde kaldığını ve temel kavramları sunmaya devam ettiğini belirtmiş, çalışması ile din eğitiminin tartışmalı üslubunu geliştirmeyi hedeflemiş, ilk çalışmaların problematik üslubuna yaklaşma gayretinde olduğunu ifade etmiştir.
