Digital nomadism, one of the significant examples of this change, differs from other working arrangements as it is a lifestyle where work, leisure, and travel are intertwined. The possibility of working without being tied to a physical place makes digital nomads work anywhere in the world, provided there is a strong Internet connection. Since maintaining this lifestyle depends on regularly travelling to different destinations, digital nomadism is also considered a form of lifestyle mobility. This study primarily discusses how the concept of digital nomadism can be handled sociologically beyond the separation of work and leisure. While discussing the future possibilities of the digital nomadic lifestyle as serious leisure, limitations and criticisms of digital nomadism are also emphasized. Regarding these criticisms, the question of whether digital nomadism should be considered a free choice or an economic necessity brought about by neoliberal impositions is discussed.

Fiziksel bir yere bağlı olmadan çalışma imkânı, güçlü bir internet bağlantısı olması koşuluyla, dijital göçebelerin dünyanın her yerinde çalışmasını sağlamaktadır. Bu yaşam tarzının sürdürülmesi düzenli olarak farklı destinasyonlara seyahat edilmesine bağlı olduğu için dijital göçebelik aynı zamanda bir yaşam tarzı hareketliliği olarak da değerlendirilmektedir. Bu çalışma, öncelikli olarak dijital göçebelik kavramının çalışma ve boş zaman ayrımının ötesinde sosyolojik açıdan nasıl ele alınabileceğini tartışmaktadır.
