Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the modern pollen distribution of Liquidambar sp. L. Forest, located in Kargı Village Sweetgum Forest Nature Reserve Area between 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. In order to determine the modern pollen distribution, Tauber pollen traps were placed in 9 sample areas where the vegetation differs within the scope of the European Pollen Monitoring Program Protocol. According to the results of modern pollen analysis carried out in the pollen traps for two years; the arboreal taxa with the highest annual pollen influx (cm²/year) were Pinus (pine), Liquidambar (sweetgum) and Quercus ilex type (evergreen oak) respectively. Although Liquidambar (sweetgum) was dominant in the vegetation rings in the first 10.5 m, especially around the pollen traps in the forest of Kargı Village Sweetgum Forest Nature Reserve Area, Pinus was determined as the taxon with the highest pollen influx in all sample areas in both years due to the high pollen production.

Özet

Bu çalışma, Kargı Köyü Sığla Ormanı Tabiat Koruma Alanı’nda bulunan Liquidambar orientalis Mill. (Sığla) Ormanının 2020-2021 ve 2021-2022 yıllarında güncel polen dağılımını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Güncel polen dağılımını belirlemek için vejetasyonun farklılık gösterdiği 9 örnek alana Avrupa Polen İzleme Programı Protokolü kapsamında Tauber tipi polen tuzağı yerleştirilmiştir. Polen tuzaklarında iki yıl boyunca yapılan güncel polen analizleri sonuçlarına göre; yıllık polen yoğunluğu (cm²/yıl) en fazla olan odunsu taksonlar sırasıyla çam (Pinus), sığla (Liquidambar orientalis) ve herdem yeşil meşeler grubu (Quercus ilex tip)’dur. Kargı Köyü Sığla ormanında özellikle polen tuzaklarının etrafında yapılan ilk 10,5 m’deki vejetasyon halkaları içerisinde Liquidambar (sığla ağacı) baskın olmasına rağmen, Pinus polen üretiminin çok olması nedeniyle her iki yılda da tüm örnek alanlarda en fazla polen yoğunluğuna sahip takson olarak belirlenmiştir.
