Abstract

ST elevations refers to a finding on an electrocardiogram wherein the trace in the ST segment is abnormally high above the baseline. The exact topology and distribution of the affected areas depend on the underlying condition. A rapid diagnosis of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is mandatory for optimal treatment. However, a small proportion of patients with suspected STEMI suffer from other conditions. Misdiagnosing these patients as acute myocardial infarction may result in catastrophic outcomes. In this article we report a case of a 55-year old male with intracranial hemorrhage mimicking acute ST elevated myocardial infarction.
