Abstract

Migration is a complicated concept which contains social, cultural and economic aspects and has been existed since the beginning of word history. The main theme of this article is “the reverse migration” which means the turning back to the origin place of the people who fulfilled their aims. In that respect, the article discusses the economic and social impacts of reverse migration on both origin place and the migrants. Besides, some crucial policy recommendations were established according to the analyzes of the field research. As a case, the village of Yeniyol was selected. Field research was used as methodology. There are two reasons for the reverse migration: retirement and inability to reach the targeted economic level. Besides, reverse migration creates problems in families in terms of sharing both lands and income. The region needs effective policies which support the living in rural areas and promote the channels to increase the economic income.
