QR Code is a technology standard which takes its basics from NFC (Near Field Communication) and is designed to establish a wireless and secure communication between close-range electronic instruments within a very short period of time. This system can be used for mobile payment, public transportation (boat, metro, train) ticketing and electronic recognition by bringing two NFC compatible instruments close to each other. This study consists of two parts. Primarily, information will be given about QR Code technology with samples by making general explanations concerning barcode and QR Code technologies, then it will be discussed that the types of tax payments can be done with QR Code technology and regulations and technologic infrastructure required for using this technology.

Temellerini NFC (Near Field Communication-Yakın Alan İletişimi)den alan karekod teknolojisi, yakın mesafedeki elektronik cihazlar arasında çok kısa sürede temassız ve güvenli bir iletişim kurulması için tasarlanmış teknoloji standardıdır. Bu sistem, NFC uyumlu iki cihazın birbirine yaklaştırılması ile mobil ödeme, toplu ulaşım (vapur, metro, tren) biletleme ve elektronik tanıma için kullanılabilir. Çalışma iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmada öncelikle barkod ve karekod teknolojileri hakkında genel açıklamalar yapılarak örneklemelerle karekod teknolojisi hakkında bilgi verilecek, daha sonra karekod teknolojisinin vergi ödemeleri bakımından hangi alanlarda kullanılabileceği ve bu teknolojinin kullanılabilmesi için gerçekleştirilmesi gereken mevzuat düzenlemeleri ile teknolojik altyapı ele alınacaktır.
