Abstract

This study aims to carry out the Turkish translation, validity, and reliability studies of the Future Decent Work Scale, which measures university students' perceptions of the decent work they can obtain in the future. The Turkish version of the scale and a Demographic Information Form was administered to 402 university students. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was used to test the scale's validity; Cronbach Alpha internal consistency coefficients were calculated to determine its reliability. Goodness of fit statistics were indicated good fit (CFI = .95, TLI = .94, RMSEA = .06, SRMR = .05, x2/sd = 2.707). The Cronbach Alpha internal consistency coefficient was calculated as .86 for all items. Accordingly, the Turkish version of the scale is a valid and reliable scale to use in the Turkish sample. The scale could be used in future research to understand predictors of decent work in university students and to evaluate interventions.
