Abstract
As one of the most key factors in ensuring the economic growth and development of countries, there are many risk factors for exports, as well as in all areas of life. It is very important to prevent or minimize the damages caused by these risks, especially from the point of view of companies performing export operations. As it is known, insurance is a financial instrument that prevents losses that may arise because of the realization of risks. In this respect, insurance is of vital importance for exporting companies in terms of financial sustainability. In this study, the risks encountered in exports and export credit insurances, which are used as a risk prevention tool in exports, are explained. In addition, studies about export credit insurance in the academic literature will be examined. The aim of this study is to analyze how the studies on export credit insurance have been shaped and developed academically and how they have taken a place, especially in the field of social sciences. The data obtained from the studies indexed in the Web of Science database were analyzed using the Vosviewer software program.
Özet
Ülkelerin ekonomik büyüme ve gelişmesinin sağlanmasında en önemli faktörlerden birisi olan ihracatta da hayatın her alanında olduğu gibi pek çok risk faktörü bulunmaktadır. Özellikle ihracat işlemi gerçekleştiren şirketler açısından bu risklerin neden olabileceği zararların önlenmesi veya minimize edilmesi oldukça önemlidir. Bilindiği üzere sigorta, risklerin gerçekleşmesi sonucu doğabilecek zararları önleyen finansal bir araçtır. Bu açıdan bakıldığında ihracatçı işletmeler için sigorta finansal sürdürülebilirlik açısından hayati önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada ihracatta karşılaşılan risklerden bahsedilerek, ihracatta bir risk önleme aracı olarak kullanılan ihracat kredi sigortaları açıklanmıştır. Ayrıca ticari hayatta öneminin fark edilmesiyle kullanımı giderek yaygınlaşan bu sigorta türünün akademik literatürdeki çalışmalara olan yansıması incelenecektir. Bu çalışmanın amacı ihracat kredi sigortaları konusundaki çalışmaların akademik açıdan nasıl şekillendiğini, geliştiğini ve özellikle sosyal bilimler alanında nasıl bir yer kapladığını analiz etmektir. Bu doğrultuda konu ile ilgili olarak Web of Science veri tabanında endekslenmiş çalışmalardan elde edilen verilerin Vosviewer yazılım programı aracılığıyla analizi yapılmıştır.
