Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to identify the ethical problems experienced by the individuals working in the health sector and to examine their views on ethics. The sample of the study is composed of 70 health professionals from different professions working in Düzce.Methods: In this study, semi-structured interview technique was used as data collection method. The interviews are coded by analyzing the content. Coded data were evaluated by frequency analysis.Results: As a result of the study, it was determined that the health workers were faced with the problems of violence (n=55) and work accidents (n=55). Employees also stated that they had communication problems with their patients and their relatives (n=17). When the expressions about the occupational ethics of the employees are examined, the participants have defined the obeying the occupational rules and standards (n=37) as occupational ethics.Originality: This study identifies which ethical problems in health sector.
Özet
Amaç : Bu çalışmanın amacı, sağlık sektöründe çalışan bireylerin yaşadığı etik sorunları tespit etmek ve meslek etiğine yönelik görüşlerini incelemektir. Çalışmanın örneklemini Düzce İlinde çalışan farklı mesleklere mensup 70 sağlık çalışanı oluşturmaktadır.Tasarım/Yöntem: Bu çalışmada veri toplama yöntemi olarak yarı yapılanmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Yapılan görüşmeler içerik çözümlemesine tabi tutularak kodlanmıştır. Kodlanan veriler SPSS programında frekans analizi yapılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçlar: Çalışmanın sonucunda sağlık çalışanlarının şiddet (55 kişi) ve iş kazası (55 kişi) sorunları ile karşı karşıya kaldıkları tespit edilmiştir. Çalışanlar ayrıca, hasta ve hasta yakınları ile iletişim sorunları yaşadığını belirtmiştir (17 kişi). Çalışanların meslek etiği hakkında ifadeleri incelendiğinde ise, katılımcılar meslek kuralları ve standartlara uymayı (37 kişi) meslek etiği olarak tanımlamışlardır.Özgün Değer: Sağlık sektöründe hangi etik problemlerin olduğunu tanımlamaktır.
