Abstract

That appear in the current account balance long-term and through technology transfer to production and exports, especially non-routable explains, as well as the method of financing long-term if it is happening in ways that does not contain techniques for stimulating employment and growth, this situation gives significant damage to the country's economy. These damages can be stated as a decrease in consumption levels due to exchange rate increases, inflation, purchasing power weakness, an increase in the level of unemployment as a result of a contraction in production due to consumption, a deterioration in national income per capita, and therefore in many macro-economic indicators up to a contraction in the level of well-being. Turkey's foreign trade deficit, which has never given much as of the periods, could only be compensated by service revenues during the periods of devaluation crisis; the current account balance could only give more than 6 years in the 37 years covering the period 1984-2020. The fact that the country's deficit financing methods also finance employment and growth with techniques such as central bank reserves, unclear net error deficiency and portfolio investments instead of creative foreign direct investments has made the country's economy quite fragile. As such, the factors affecting the current account balance and the current account balance constitute the motivation of many economists, as well as the motivation of the study. In the study, the effect of loans made available through the banking system on the current account balance in the period 1984-2020 was tried to be measured by the ARDL method and as a result, the presence of a statistically significant and positive effect of loans on the current account balance was determined.
