The automotive sector is the engine of all developing countries as well as in Turkey. In addition, it is one of the indispensable sectors for the country's economies in terms of the sectors it is linked to. Motor vehicles, the main product of the sector; It meets all kinds of motor vehicle needs that the construction, agriculture, tourism, infrastructure and transportation sectors need. Making financial performance analyzes of the automotive sector, which has an important share in the manufacturing sector of developing country economies, is important for the development of this sector and to guide the investors who will invest in the automotive sector. For this purpose, the financial statements of 11 automotive manufacturing companies traded in Borsa Istanbul between 2015 and 2019 will be analyzed by TOPSIS method.

Otomotiv sektörü Türkiye’de olduğu gibi tüm gelişmekte olan ülkelerin lokomotifi konumundadır. Ayrıca bağlantılı olduğu sektörler bakımından da ülke ekonomileri için vazgeçilmez sektörlerden birisidir. Sektörün temel ürünü olan motorlu taşıtlar; inşaat, tarım, turizm, altyapı ve ulaştırma sektörlerinin ihtiyaç duyduğu her çeşit motorlu taşıt ihtiyacını karşılamaktadır. Gelişmekte olan ülke ekonomileri imalat sektörü içinde, önemli bir payı olan otomotiv sektörünün finansal performans analizlerinin yapılması bu sektörün gelişebilmesi ve otomotiv sektörüne yatırım yapacak yatırımcılara yol göstermesi bakımından önem arz etmektedir. Bu amaçla çalışma da, Borsa İstanbul’ da işlem gören 11 otomotiv imalat şirketinin 2015 – 2019 yılları arasındaki finansal tabloları TOPSIS yöntemi ile incelenecektir.
