Abstract

More than two million children left their country during civil war still continuing in Syria, thousands of them got wounded, or lost their lives during armed conflicts. It is aimed to draw attention to the injury and deaths of the innocent children who are in the environment of armed conflict with the case presented in our study. A 13-year-old boy who was injured during bomb explosion in Syria exited during treatment in a hospital with a burn unit, in our country. Third degree burn all over 90-95% of body surface, and left tibial shaft fracture were detected in corpse autopsy. We think that increasing the awareness, and knowledge about the harmful effects of war in the whole world, and sharing the results of the studies to be performed more frequently with visual, and written media will confer a benefit.

Özet

Suriye’de devam eden iç savaşta, iki milyondan fazla çocuk ülkeden ayrılmış, binlerce çocuk silahlı çatışmalar sırasında yaralanmış veya hayatını kaybetmiştir. Çalışmamızda sunulan olgu ile silahlı çatışma ortamında kalan masum çocukların maruz kaldıkları yaralanma ve ölümlerine dikkat çekilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Suriye’de meydana gelen bomba patlaması sırasında yaralanan 13 yaşındaki erkek çocuk, ülkemizde yanık ünitesi bulunan bir hastanede tedavi sırasında kaybedilmiştir. Uygulanan otopside; tüm vücutta %90-95 oranında 3. derece yanık alanı ve sol tibiasında kırık olduğu saptanmıştır. Tüm dünyada savaşın zararları hakkında bilgi-farkındalık düzeyinin arttırılması ve yapılacak çalışmalardan elde edilecek sonuçların daha fazla oranda görsel ve yazılı basınla paylaşılmasının fayda sağlayacağı düşüncesindeyiz.
