Abstract

Companies aspiring to serve in international air space are liable to ensure various security criteria. Therefore, they have to put air vehicles or vehicle equipments they have produced through various tests according to requirements and they have to finalize certification process. In aviation industry, success criterion is specified by ensuring air worthiness; in other words maximizing human security. In aviation businness, seat certification is evaluated in terms of its competency in withstanding various loads during emergency landing conditions. In this study, design verification activity of the seat having finite element analysis is carried out. One of the collision test which is design verification activity for the seat produced in accordance with criteria determined by Federal Aviation Administration and European Aviation Safety Agency mutually, is carried out under 16 g advanced dynamic test conditions. Findings obtained are compared to limits values defined in standards.
