Okur merkezli kuramlar sınıflamasına giren feminist eleştiri; psikanaliz, Marksizm, okuyucu olarak kadına yönelen eleştiri ve yazar olarak kadına yönelen feminist eleştiri gibi açılımlarla disiplinlerarası (psikolojik, kültürel, politik, sosyolojik, biyolojik, edebî, dilbilimsel gibi) bir yaklaşımı içermektedir. Feminist edebiyat eleştirisi ise, kültür ve edebiyattaki yerleşik ve dolayısıyla erkeğin bakış açısını yansıtan değerleri, kalıpları sorgulayarak işin öteki yüzüne dikkat çeker. Böyle bir amaçla, bu çalışmamızda, Buket Uzuner’in Önceki ve Sonraki Kadın başlıklı hikâyesi feminist okumaya tâbi tutulacaktır.
