Özet
Son yıllarda anestezide damar yolu girişimlerinde ultrasonografi kullanımı yaygınlaşmaktadır. Litaretürde ultrasonografi eşliğinde merkezi kateterizasyonun daha güvenilir olduğu, başarı şansını arttırdığı ve komplikasyon oranını azalttığı bildirilmektedir.Bu sunumda acil olgularda veya ciddi sağlık problemleri olan kritik hastalarda merkezi damar yolu girişimlerinde ultrasonografi kullanımının yerini ve önemini vurgulamayı amaçladık.Bin dokuzyüzlü yılların ikinci yarısından sonra kullanımı güncellik kazanan merkezi venöz kateterizasyon işlemi günümüzde anestezide ve yoğun bakımda yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır (1). Sıvı ve kan transfüzyonu, vazoaktif ilaç kullanımı, merkezi venöz basınç ölçümü, parenteral beslenme, antineoplastik gibi çeşitli ilaç uygulamaları ve hemodiyaliz ihtiyacı gibi farklı nedenlerden dolayı kullanılmakta olan merkezi venöz kateterler klasik teknikte anatomik işaret noktaları (Landmark) ile girişim noktası tespit edilerek Seldinger tekniği (kılavuz tel) ile perkütan olarak takılmaktadır.
