Abstract

In this study, humoral and cellular (T-cell) responses of broiler chickens which were fed on a standart broiler diet supplemented with A, E and C vi¬tamins, at doses of 40.000 TL/kg, 300 mg/kg and 200 mg/ kg respectively, were checked. The control group were fed on only with the standart broiler diet. Humoral im¬mune response was measured by the determination of hemagglutination-inhibiting (HI) antibady levels against Newcastle Disease Virus. Interdigital skin test was used for determination of cellular response Interdigital skin reaction was also examined histopathologically. There was no considerable difference between control group and the test groups for humoral response. It was found that cellular response of Vitamin A group was sig¬nificantly higher than those of control, Vitamin E and C groups. In histopathologically examination, the most ex¬tensive and dense cellular infiltrations were observed in dermiş and epidermis layers of interdigital skin and in subcut is of chickens in Vitamin A group.
