Abstract

Our aim in the present study was to investigate the properties of geriatric patients who admitted Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) programme and functional status after this program. Two hundred twenty six geriatric patients who applied inpatient PMR programme were admitted to study. Mean age of patients was 71.89±5.85 (65-92)year, mean PMR duration was 32.52±16.66 (7-89)day. 58.85 % of patients was female and 41.15% of patients was male. The geriatric patients diagnosis was hemiplegia, osteoarthritis, spinal cord injury, hernied nucleus pulposus, neuropathy, artroplasty, traumatic brain injury, adhezive capsulitis, seronegative spondyloartropathy, meningioma, spinoserebellar syndrome, mypathy, myelits, scoliosis, gut disease, paget disease and fracture. Ambulation was gained 70% of the nonambulant patients at the end of the PMR program. Those complete dependent in daily living activities were discharged independent or partial dependent situation.
