Abstract

The study was carried out in greenhouse conditions by growing the Yalova field bean variety (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) with different iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn) applications in an alluvial soil which was collected from the artificial siltation area (0-20 cm depth) of the Kelkit River in Niksar-Tokat. A colluvial soil was also used for comparison. Iron was applied at 0, 10 and 20 ppm Fe in the forms Fe-EDDHA, FeSO4.7H2O and Fe-EDDHA + FeSO4.7H2O (1:1 ratio). Zinc was applied at 0, 10 and 20 ppm Zn in the form ZnCl2. The plants were harvested after six weeks of growth in the greenhouse. The results obtained show that increasing amounts of Fe and Zn significantly increased the dry-matter yield of bean plants compared to the control (without Fe or Zn treatment). The maximum dry-matter yield was obtained with an application of 20 ppm Zn combined with 20 ppm Fe in the form Fe-EDDHA. Application of Fe-EDDHA + FeSO4.7H2O also significantly increased the drymatter yield of bean plants in both soils. Iron application decreased the P, Zn, Cu and Mn contents. Zinc application decreased the P, Fe, Cu and Mn contents of the bean plants.

Özet

Araştırma, Yalova tarla fasülyesi çeşidi (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) kullanılarak sera koşullarında yürütülmüştür. Denemede kireç kapsamları yüksek olan, Niksar bölgesinde siltasyon ile Kelkit çayından tarıma yeni kazandırılan aluviyal topraklar ve mukayese amacıyla Tokat merkezden alınan koluviyal topraklar kullanılmıştır. Toprağa demir 0, 10, 20 ppm Fe olacak şekilde Fe-EDDHA, FeSO4.7H2O ve Fe-EDDHA + FeSO4.7H2O (1:1) formlarında, çinko ise 0, 10, 20 ppm Zn dozlarında ZnCl2 formunda uygulanmıştır. Yaklaşık 6 haftalık bitki büyümesini takiben bitkiler hasat edilmiştir. Deneme sonuçlarına göre, artan dozlarda demir ve çinko uygulaması kontrole göre tüm dozlarda fasülye bitkisinin kuru madde miktarını artırmış, en yüksek kuru madde miktarı Fe-EDDHA formunda 20 ppm Fe ve 20 ppm Zn uygulamalarının birlikte yapılması durumunda elde edilmiştir. Fe-EDDHA + FeSO4.7H2O uygulaması da kuru madde miktarını önemli düzeyde artırmıştır. Demir uygulamasına bağlı olarak fasülye bitkisinin P, Cu, Zn, Mn kapsamları çinko uygulamasına bağlı olarak ise P, Fe, Cu, Mn kapsamları azalmıştır.
