Abstract

In this study, total 323 fish are obtained during the area researches between the dates November 1997 and October 1998 to examine the biologic peculiarities of the population of S. aurita which is found in Izmir Bay. In this pointed the fish which was examined presented the age group I-ffl. Females and males constitute 52.63% and 47.37% of the population respectively. It is found that in S. aurita minimum and maximum fork length is 13.00-21.40 cm; in the examination of weight minimum and maximum which are found as 30.06—130.70 g The von Bertalanffy growth formula was estimated for males (L»= 26.08 cm, k= 0.543, to= -0.681; W«= 148.18 g), females (L»= 23.93 cm, k= 0.490, to= -0.490; W»= 134.80 g) and the sexes combined (U= 25.68 cm, k= 0.507, to= -0.740; W*,= 150.12 g). Length-weight relationship was calculated as W= 0.0068* L3'2293 (r=0.91) and avarage condition factor has calculated as K= 1.470 for all individuals.

Özet

Bu çalışmada, Izmir Körfezi'nde dağılım gösteren S. aurita populasyonunun bazı biyolojik özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla, Kasım 1997-Ekim 1998 tarihleri arasındaki arazi çalışmaları sırasında toplam 323 adet balık elde edilmiş ve incelenmiştir. İncelenen balıkların I-ffl yaş grubunu temsil ettikleri saptanmıştır. Populasyonun %52.63'ü dişi, %47.37'si erkek bireylerden oluşmaktadır. Büyük sardalya balığında (dişi+erkek) minimum-maksimum çatal boy değerleri 13.00-21.40 cm; ağırlık değerleri ise 30.06-130.70 g olarak tespit edilmiştir. Von Bertalanffy büyüme eşitlikleri erkek (L»o= 26.08 cm, k= 0.343, t0= -0.681; W»= 148.18 g), dişi (L»= 23.93 cm, k= 0.663, t»= -0.490; W«= 134.80 g) ve tüm (U= 25.68 cm, k= 0.507, to= -0.740; W«= 150.12 g) bireyler için hesaplanmıştır. Tüm bireylerin boy-ağırlık ilişkisi denklemi; W= 0.0068 * L 3'2293 (r=0.91), ortalama kondisyon faktörü değeri ise K= 1.470 olarak hesaplanmıştır.
