Abstract

Green transportation alternatives are of extremely rapid growth. Besides, the use of green transportation alternatives is encouraged by the authorities. In this study, a set covering problem approach is implemented to find optimal bicycle sharing points, an important problem in bicycle transportation as one of the green transportation alternatives. It has been implemented for assigning bike-sharing points for the Çukurova University main campus. In the solution of the problem, the 9/23 point sharing point assignment is made with two different scenarios using the distance data and approximate needs of the 54 buildings on the campus. Various suggestions have been developed as a result of solving the created model with different target distance data.
