Abstract

The Northwest of Iran, is located in the Alpine Himalayan collision zone; where there is an active seismic zone between the Caucasus in the north and the Zagros Overthrust Zone in the south and it has active tevtonic structure. In order to determine the tectonic and geological properties of the structures in the study area, analytic signal and horizontal gradient analytic signal method were generaterd using total magnetic field data belonging to the region. Boundaries of structure like Urmia Lake, which is observed as a collapse area, Sabalan Volcano and mountain belt were determined and it has been identified that Sabalan Volcano covers approximately 90 km2
