Özet
Farklı fakülte ve yüksek okullardan mezun olup, sınıf öğretmeni olarak Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'nda görev alan öğretmenlerin, öğretmenlik mesleği ile ilgili düşüncelerini ve meslekte karşılaştığı sorunları saptamak amacıyla yapılan bu çalışmada; tarama modeli kullamlmıştır. 30 Haziran-22 Ağustos 1997 tarihleri arasında Balıkesir'de düzenlenen "Pedagojik Formasyon Kursu"na katılan toplam 178 sınıf öğretmeni bu araştırmanın örneklernini oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak anket formu kullanılmış, bulgular çizelgeler haline getirilerek yorumlanmış ve önerilere yer verilmiştir. Karşılaşılan en önemli sorunlar arasında fiziki şartlar ve meslek bilgısindeki yetersizlikler ilk sırayı almaktadır. Bu nedenle, MEB ve üniversitelerle işbirliği içerisinde hizmet-içi eğitim faaliyetleri önemli olarak görülmektedir
