This paper evaluates the teacher preparation programs colleges of the education, vvhich has been carried out since 1998-1999 in a criticai view. Since then, so many problems have came up related with undergraduates and masters programs aboııt teacher preparation. Thus, new solutions need to be created in order to eliminate these problems. İn order to redevelop and solve the problem in the program these issues needs to be stressed; revising of programs periodically redevelopment of masters programs vvithout thesis updating the curricula and subjects. Özet
Bu çalışmada, 1998-1999 eğitim-öğretim yılından itibaren eğitim fakültelerinde uygulanan öğretmen yetiştirme programlarının durumu eleştirisel açıdan değerlendirilecektir. Yeniden yapılandırma ile öğretmen yetiştiren lisans ve lisansüstü programlarda ortaya çıkan önemli sorunlar ve öğretmen yetiştirme konusundaki çağdaş gelişmeler ve yönelimlerin ortaya çıkardığı temel ihtiyaçlar, bu programların yeniden geliştirilmesinin gerekli olduğunu göstermektedir. Programların yeniden geliştirilmesinde üzerinde durulması gereken başlıca hususlar şunlardır: Periyodik olarak program revizyonlarının yapılması, tezsiz yüksek lisans uygulamasının yeniden düzenlenmesi, ders programlarının ve ders içeriklerinin güncellenmesi, programlardaki ders içeriklerinin yeni müfredata uygun hale getirilmesi, yan alan uygulamasının kaldırılması, okul uygulamalarının niteliğinin artırılması, ilgili kurumlar arası işbirliğinin artırılması, öğretmen yetiştirmede daha kapsamlı uygulamalı eğitime yer verilmesi ve akreditasyon sürecinin devam ettirilmesidir
