Bölge iklim yapısı ve verimli toprakları nedeniyle özellikle ılıman iklim meyve türlerinin yetiştiriciliği açısından oldukça elverişlidir. Ceviz bölge halkının ekonomik hayatında oldukça önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu yüzden bölgede ceviz yetiştiriciliği giderek daha da artan bir öneme sahip olmaktadır
