Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the treatment using the triple chemotherapeutic agent on the clinical case of TVT in dogs. 23 female dogs in different ages were examined. The combination of vincristine, cyclophosphamide, methotrexate were given intravenously and orally for the treatment of TVT. It was observed that TVT lesions in all cases were disappeared after the chemotherapeutic treatment. Average disappearing time of the tumors in most cases (82.6%) was about 5 weeks (4-6). Metastatic tumors were detected only one case. In this case the extra genital tumors and vaginal tumors disappeared at the same time. It was concluded that combination chemotherapeutic treatment is an effective and successful method for the treatment of TVT events in the bitch.
