Abstract

OBJECTIVE: The coronary angiography findings in patients with ventricular tachycardia (VT) and/or ventricular fibrillation (VF) were compared with an uncomplicated group of patients during the course of acute myocardial infarction. METHODS: Forty-two patients with acute myocardial infarction were included in our study. Coronary angiography was applied to all these patients and the results were compared. RESULTS: According to coronary angiography, 6 single-vessel diseases and 15 multivessel diseases were determined in the group of patients with VT and/or VF; 12 single-vessel diseases and 9 multivessel diseases were determined in the uncomplicated patient group. CONCLUSION: There was no statistically significant difference in the coronary angiography findings between the group with VT and/or VF and the group of uncomplicated patients.
