Abstract

Inflammatory pseudotumor of the lung is an uncommon nonneoplastic tumor of unknown origin. This tumor typically manifests as a solitary, peripheral and sharply circumscribed mass. Multiple lesions are seen in about 5% of cases. Most of the patients are under 40 years of age and complain mainly of non-specific symptoms. Many synonyms have been used for this disease, usually in relation to the most represented cell type: plasma cell granuloma, inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor, fibroxan- thoma, histiocytoma, or pseudoneoplastic pneumonia

Özet

Akciğerin inflamatuar psödotümörü seyrek görülen, etiyolojisi bilinmeyenneoplastik olmayan bir tümördür. Tümör tipik olarak soliter, periferikyerleşimli, keskin kenarlı kitle şeklidedir. Birden fazla lezyonlar yaklaşık%5 olguda saptanır. Sıklıkla 40 yaş altı bireylerde spesifik olmayan semptomlarlaseyreder. Baskın hücre tipine göre plazma hücreli granüloma, inflamatuvar myofibroblastik tumor, fibroksantoma, histiositoma veyapsödoneoplastik pnömoni gibi farklı isimlendirmeler kullanılabilir.
