Bütün Türk dünyasında ortak özellikler gösteren atasözleri, Türk sözlü kültürünün en değerli unsurlarındandır. Bu çalışmada Türk dünyasının önemli boylarından Kırım Karay Türklerinin dil ve söz ile ilgili atasözleri ele alınmıştır. Dilin/sözün toplum içerisindeki yeri, günlük hayattaki önemi ve iletişim kurmadaki işlevi değerlendirilmiştir. Kırım Karay Türklerine ait olan seksen atasözünün Türkiye Türkçesindeki karşılığı da parantez içinde gösterilmiştir
