Abstract

Deep neck infections are less common today but when they occur they remain to be serious infections. These infections carry significant morbidity and mortality due to local and systemic complications. This case report presents a patient admitted with multi-organ failure in our unit, diagnosed with deep neck infection and healed with appropriate treatment.

Özet

Derin boyun enfeksiyonları günümüzde daha nadir görülmektedir; ama görüldüğünde ciddi enfeksiyonlar olarak bilinmektedir. Bu enfeksiyonlar lokal ve sistemik komplikasyonlara bağlı olarak ciddi morbidite ve mortalite riski taşırlar. Burada kliniğimize çoklu organ yetmezliği tablosu ile başvuran, derin boyun enfeksiyonu tanısı alan ve uygun tedavi yaklaşımı ile düzelen bir olgu sunulmuştur.
