Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop the scale of "assessing classroom measurement and evaluation activities" and to determine its psychometric properties. Since the research is aimed at revealing an existing situation, it has been done by survey model, one of the quantitative research approaches. During the development of the scale, the literature was reviewed and a draft form consisting of 56 items was prepared. Expert opinions were taken for the content validity of the measuring tool and it was determined that six items did not have sufficient scope and were excluded from the study. The participants in the research consist of 400 teacher candidates studying in various departments. In order to provide evidence for the construct validity of the measurements obtained from the developed measurement tool, an exploratory factor analysis was performed and a measurement tool consisting of three factors and 40 items was obtained. Cronbach alpha stratified Cronbach alpha and McDonald (ω) coefficients were calculated for the proof of the reliability of the measurements obtained from the measurement tool and the reliability was found to be high. In order to determine the standard of the measurement tool, twostage cluster analysis was performed and three clusters, low, medium and high, were determined. As a result, it can be said that the measurement results obtained using the developed measurement tool are reliable and the inferences made based on these results are valid.
