Abstract

High strength concrete are obtained by adding the silica fume, which is an Electrometallurgy Facility’s, into concrete production. In this study, increasing on strength and mechanic crack formations of concrete, which were produced by CEM II/A-M 32.5 cement, using silica fume and superplasticizer, were investigated in the respect of microstructure. Photo of microstructure has been taken and chemical analysis has been determined by using Electron Microscope. As a result of studies, investigated micrographs and chemical analysis, silica fume; provides compactness at micro-level in concrete, occurs a regular mortar microstructure around the coarse aggregate because silica fume reactions with CH and occurs CSH, and produces positive effect in micro structure in addition to the contribution to adherence of interfacial zone.
