Abstract

This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of high fat diet and LiCI in the ration on the growth rate, serum cholesterol and serum 17 beta-estradiol levels in female rats. The study were planned as 3 experimental groups and one control group. In the first group, rats were fed with fatty diet (45% oil) and received 40 mg / kg body weight LiCI intraperitoneal every other day. In group 2, rats were fed with fatty di-et and in group 3, rats were received only 40 mg / kg body weight LiCI. As far as the result of this study the fatty diet cause an incre-ase in the weight gain, but increasing level of cholesterol we-re not detected. LiCI is a antipsychotic drug developed nega-tive effect in the body weight gain and the different changes in the cholesterol and the serum 17 beta- estradiol levels we-re pronounced in the LiCI group.

Özet

Bu çalışmada yüksek yağ içerikli diyet ve LiCl'ün dişi sıçanlarda canlı ağırlık artışı;,serum kolesterol ve 17 beta-östradiol düzeyleri üzerine oluşturabileceği farklılıkların saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma 3 deney 1 kontrol grubu olarak planlanmıştır. Grup 1'deki sıçanlar yağlı diyet (%45 yağ) ile beslenirken gün aşırı intraperitonal 40 mg/kg canlı ağırlık dozunda LİCI uygulanmıştır. Grup 2' deki sıçanlar sadece yağlı diyet, Grup 3' deki sıçanlara sadece 40 mg/kg canlı ağırlık dozunda LiCI uygulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak, yağlı diyetin en fazla canlı ağırlık artışına neden olurken, kolesterol düzeyinin anlamlı düzeyde yükselmediği saptanmıştır. Antipsikotik ilaç grubunda yer alan LİCI' ün ise canlı ağırlık artışını olumsuz yönde etkilediği, ancak kolesterol ve 17 beta-östradiol düzeylirini anlamlı boyutta değiştirmediği gözlenmiştir
