Abstract

Neurofibromatosis is a multisystemic and autosomal dominant neurocutaneous dysplasia. Its most common and well known form is neurofibromatosis type 1. Besides the sign owing to the disease itself, there can be other endocrinologie abnormalities. A seven years old male was referred to our endocrinology policlinics with precocious puberty. To cease this puberty, GnRH analogue treatment was began. With this case, endocrinological abnormalities such as central precocious puberty and growth hormon deficiency seen in children with NF-1 were discussed. It is pointed out that when the sign of precocious puberty are determined, beginning the therapy early with GnRH analogue is needed to prevent the short stature.
