Abstract

Vasovagal syncope is defined as reflex cardiovasculer depression characterized by a combination of bradycardia and vasodilatation. In obstetric patients, this reflex is usually caused by regional anesthesia, bleeding or aortocaval compression in the supine position, as well as by central triggers such as anxiety, fear and emotional stress. In this case; We presented our approach to the development of cardiac arrest as a result of severe vasovagal reflex in a 38-year-old pregnant woman under going elective cesarean section and spinal anesthesia.
