Abstract

Retrospective Analysis of Sixty Patients With Acute Mesenteric Ischemia Acute mesenteric ischemia (AMI) remains a perplexing clinical proplem. AMI has been diagnosed with increasing frequency, during the last two decades, yet the mortality rate remains as high as 60 % to 100 %. Sixty patients with AMI were treated at Karadeniz Tecnical University Hospital between 1996 and 2001. Total mortality rate was 70 %. The lenght of the gangrenous intestine was the most important variable on mortality.

Özet

Akut mezenterik iskemi hala zihin karıştırıcı bir hastalıktır. Son iki dekatta artan sıklıkta tam konabilmesine rağmen yine de mortalite oranı % 60-100 arasındadır. Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Genel Cerrahi Anabilim Dalı tarafından 1996-2001 yılları arasında akut mezenterik iskemi tanısı konularak opere edilen 60 hasta retrospektif olarak incelendi. Mortalite oranı % 70 olarak bulundu. Gangrene barsak uzunluğunun mortalite üzerinde önemli bir faktör olduğu görüldü.
