Fungus topu, ektramukozal yerleşimli invaziv olmayan ve genellikle tek bir sinüs tutulumu ile karakterize mantar enfeksiyonudur. Baş ağrısı, burun tıkanıklığı, geniz akıntısı gibi non-spesifik semptomlar verebilmesine rağmen çoğunlukla asemptomatik seyretmektedir. Fungus topu immunsüprese hastalarda da görülebilmektedir. Literatürde romatoid artrit ile beraber sfenoid sinüs mantar topu olgusuna rastlanılmamıştır.
