In this study, socio-economic structure of migrating families who involve in the activity of growing sheep in high plateaus of Erzurum. Data provided from 78 families in 1996 and 1997 by using aimed sampling method were used to analyse, socie-economic stualion of these families. Bu çalışmada, Erzurum ili yaylalarında koyunculuk faaliyetiyle uğrasan göçer ailelerin sosyo¬ekonomik yapısı artırılmıştır. Gayeli örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 78 aileden elde edilen 1996 ve 1997 yıllarına ait veriler değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçta, konuyla ilgili sorunlar belirlenmiş ve koyunculuk faaliyetinde rantabiliteyi artırmak için gerekli düzeltmeler veya alınabilecek önlemler belirtilmiştir.
