Abstract

This study was realised to compare in point of the porosity of acrylic resins which are prepared in various thickness and polimerised by using different methods. 45 samples from each of three different acrylic resins were prepared. Total 135 acrylic resin samples having the dimensions of 20x20x2 mm, 20x20x4 mm and 20x20x6 mm were prepared with various polimerisation methods. After the finishing and polishing procedures, they were immersed in Indian ink. They were evaluated in point of external porosity by using optic microscope. Than half of the thickness of each sample were abrosed. These samples were evaluated in view of internal porosity after they were painted with the same method. Datas obtained were evaluated with Kruskal-Wallis varians of analysis methods. It is statistically found that polimerisation method and the thickness are very important and the type of acrylic resin is not important
