Abstract

Portal vein agenesis is a rare malformation. It is seen particularly with cardiovascular and gastrointestinal system anomalies. Radiologic studies of the portal venous system include color Doppler ultrasonography US , computed tomography CT , magnetic resonance imaging, and arterial or direct portography. A ten year old child with recurrent abdominal pain because of portal vein agenesis is presented.
