Abstract

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to analyze the importance of polycysticovary syndrome (PCOS) in female sexual dysfunction. MATERIAL and METHODS: A total of 60 women of reproductive agewith the diagnosis of PCOS were evaluated prospectively. Cases; wererandomized into two groups as healthy volunteers (Group 1, n: 30) andwomen with PCOS (Group 2, n: 30). Demographic characteristics, bodymass index (BMI), waist circumference, modified Ferriman Gallwey (mFG)scores and biochemical parameters of the participants were evaluated. Scoresof the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI), Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale(RSES), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), and Beck Depression Inventory(BDI) were calculated for each case included in the study. RESULTS: The patients’ mean age was 25.95±3.31 years, which was similarfor both groups (p: 0.734). AMAÇ: Bu çalışmada polikistik over sendromu (PKOS)’nun kadın cinsel işlev bozukluğundaki yerinin analiz edilmesi amaçlanmıştır.GEREÇ ve YÖNTEMLER: Üreme çağında toplam 60 kadın olgu prospektif olarak çalışmaya dahil edildi. Olgular; sağlıklı gönüllüler (Grup 1, n: 30) ve PKOS’li kadınlar (Grup 2, n: 30) olmak üzere iki gruba randomize edildi. Katılımcıların demografik özellikleri, beden kitle indeksleri (BKİ), bel çevreleri, modifiye Ferriman Gallwey (mFG) skorları ve biyokimyasal parametreleri değerlendirildi. Öte yandan çalışmaya dahil edilen her olgu için Kadın Cinsel İşlev İndeksi (FSFI), Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği (RBSÖ), Beck Anksiyete Ölçeği (BAÖ) ve Beck Depresyon Ölçeği (BDÖ) skorları hesaplandı.BULGULAR: Hastaların yaş ortalaması 25,95±3,31 yıl olarak hesaplandı ve bu değerler her iki grup için benzerdi (p: 0,734).
