In this context the relationship betwe- en agricultural producer price and food price and exc- hange rate (dollar and euro), oil price, FAO food price index is examined with VAR model by using data of 1999: 2-2014: 6. Our findings indicate that the most important variables that affect on food industry prices; dollar and euro exchange rate in the short term. In the long term besides short-term variables oil prices, inter- national food prices and agricultural producer prices effect on food prices, the limited extent. The most im- portant variables affecting agricultural producer prices are national food price index, oil prices, international food prices, dollar and euro exchange rates, respecti- vely. Food price index and oil prices effect on agricultu- ral producer prices immediately, international food pri- ces and exchange rates are with a lag. Results confirm that agricultural production and food price in Turkey, have pressure of import price and depend on raw and intermediate materials of import.
